​Niagara Community Internship Program​


The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is seeking a college undergraduate or graduate student for a paid internship in our education department for the Fall 2022 semester. Students do not need to earn college credit from this internship to be eligible. The Education Intern will work closely with our Education Coordinator, volunteers, and Executive Director to implement educational programs based on objects from the museum collection. The Education Intern will report directly to the Education Coordinator. Applicants must apply by 11:59pm on 9/5/22. Eligible applicants must be residents of Niagara County or attending a college or university in Niagara County. 

The internship is funded through the Verizon Media Community Benefit Fund for Niagara County - ESD of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. 
This internship is a part-time, paid position. This internship can be used for school credit based on the guidelines approved by your school.  With any questions please contact: Marissa A. Seib, Education Coordinator at education@carrouselmuseum.org

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college program
  • Eligible applicants must be residents of Niagara County or any student attending college in Niagara County.
  • Commit to 120 hours during the Fall 2022 semester
  • Availability Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm.
  • Available 8-10 hours a week.
  • Computer Literacy
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends.
  • Reliable transportation

Prefered

  • Availability on occasional weekends and evenings
  • Possess experience with children or education in an informal setting.
  • Background in education, museum studies, history, or a related field
