Covid-19 policy May 26th Update

5/26/2021

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum following the release of new CDC suggestions and the easing of restrictions in New York, will be changing their COVID-19 policy effective Wednesday, May 26th 2021. These new policies will be in effect for the opening of the Kiddieland Testing Park Exhibit Saturday, May 29th 2021.

The following changes will be enacted on Wednesday, May 26th 2021:

  • Staff and volunteers will not be required to wear masks outdoors if six feet of social distancing can be maintained. Masks are required for staff and volunteers outdoors when social distancing is not feasible. (Note to visitors: This is not possible within Kiddieland, so all staff and volunteers will wear masks during operating in the Kiddieland Testing Park Exhibit).
  •  Visitors are no longer required to wear masks outdoors at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. Hand sanitizer is available upon entrance of the Kiddieland Testing Park Exhibit, which still requires a reservation. For more information on Kiddieland Testing Park Exhibit procedures, visit the museum website at www.carrouselmuseum.org.

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is still committed to the safety of its visitors, volunteers and staff. Therefore, the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum has made the decision to maintain our current indoor policy of requiring masks for staff and guests for the time being.  Additionally, we will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our policy moving forward. We thank all for their understanding and continued support of the Museum in these trying times.
