The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is monitoring the current Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis and how it may affect our visitors, volunteers, and staff. Currently, the museum is planning to open for the season April 1st, but will be postponing any special events for the month.  We are monitoring the situation and will take action as needed. We are following the recommendations and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and New York State Department of Health. Below are a few of the measures currently in place at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available in the gift shop and at both carousels.
  • We have increased our cleaning regimen.
  • We encourage visitors to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds in the restrooms during their visit.
  • At this time some aspects of our Children’s Gallery will be limited including, some hands-on toys.
    • ` will be using disposable tickets for rides, as opposed to tokens.
  • Staff and volunteers are discouraged from coming into the museum with confirmed illness or symptoms of illness.

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is committed to regularly providing updates regarding the museum to its visitors, volunteers, and staff. If you have any questions about visiting the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum or our response to COVID-19, please call (716) 693-1885 or email info@carrouselmuseum.org
