Support our Community Work

PictureThe Carrousel Music Hall exhibit.
Since 1983, the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum has been a special place to so many people. This year has brought a big change to the museum with the addition of The Carrousel Music Hall,  and we cannot wait to create more musical memories with all of you. This project has taken a long time to be completed, and we are excited to share it with our community!

Your gift doesn't just fund programs, it builds a community.

Community and partnership is always at the forefront for the museum. This year alone, we have provided free field trips to six local classrooms, provided 54 one-hour free STEM classes to the Akron and North Tonawanda communities, increased our number of $1 admission nights from two to three, and provided free admission passes to over 190 other Western New York non-profits and families in need for fundraising. The museum also worked with multiple local and national nonprofit organizations and local libraries to provide free or discounted admission. These programs are supported by local foundations, businesses, and our generous donors.

This year of growth has not been without its struggles. A year with less tourists has made the museum develop a budget gap in operational support. Our Music Hall took longer than expected, increasing this financial burden on the organization. We have received support for capital projects this year, but are still lacking in operational funds. Generous support from our museum friends will be paramount to support and build on all of the progress we have made. We cannot have done this work without you, and your support is needed so we can continue to provide this positive impact in our community.
