Join the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum for a Celebration of all things Band Organ!
Band Organ Specialists will be on site from 10am-2pm to give lectures, give demonstrations, answer questions, and play music! The education department will be conducting lessons on the science and engineering of band organs in the Children's Gallery. The museum will also have special band organ coloring sheets out for all visitors. Visitors donating band organ objects (with an appointment) to the collection get in free. This event is free with general museum admission. Perforator Demonstration 12:30pm Band Organ Enthusiast Doug will be giving a demonstration of the only functioning Wurlitzer Perforator in the world at 12:30pm. This machine helps us reproduce the rolls used in band organs. Director Lecture 3pm Join Executive Director Ian K. Seppala at 3pm as he goes over the historical importance of the Wurlitzer Company and the legacy of Band Organs in North Tonawanda. |
