[North Tonawanda]—The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum has announced today that the museum has received a grant from Garman Family Foundation administered by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. The grant will be used to pilot a weekday STEM Library Program. The museum is grateful to the Garman Family Foundation at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo in their support of this project. The project will begin in February and run through November 2025. The museum’s education department currently offers outreaching programming in the topics of: electricity, simple machines, environmental science, engineering, and coding. Potential new subjects for this program include: physics, mathematics, sound, complex machines, and more. The partner libraries for this project are the North Tonawanda Public Library (505 Meadow Dr, North Tonawanda, NY 14120) https://ntlibrary.org/ and the Newstead Public Library (33 Main St, Akron, NY 14001) https://www.buffalolib.org/locations-hours/newstead-public-library. Both libraries and the museum will announce the dates and times of programs in early 2025.
