The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is committed to ensuring all of our visitors are able to enjoy the museum to the fullest. 

Offerings
  • One to One Admission - Complimentary admission for assistive aids who are accompanying a paid admission visitor
  • Accessible Parking - Handicap-able parking spaces are available directly to the right of our main entrance gate.
  • Gender Neutral & All Accessible Restrooms - Each restroom is gender neutral, single stall, handicap-able accessible, and includes a changing table.
  • Audio Tours - At this time our Audio Tour is only available in English.
  • Visual Communication Aids - Available in our gift shop.
  • Sensory Backpacks - Made possible by the Peter & Elizabeth Tower Foundation. Packs are available for loan at no extra fee in our Gift Shop for the duration of a visit (more information available below).
  • Custom Tours - Customized tours are available upon request. Please call us at 716.693.1885 to request a specialized tour.

Sensory Backpacks

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is proud to launch our Sensory Backpack Lending Program, made possible by the Peter & Elizabeth Tower Foundation.

Sensory Backpacks are available to all of our visitors at no additional fee for the duration of their stay. Each backpack includes:
  • Sunglasses
  • Noise reducing headphones
  • Weighted lap pad
  • Sensory ball
  • Monkey Noodle
  • alcohol wipes

Each backpack is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use.

Help Us Preserve Our History

We ask that all of our guests comply with our height and weight restrictions. These restrictions are for the safety of all of our guests and help us maintain our antique rides.

Kiddie Rides

​Children between 34 and 52 inches tall are able to ride the Kiddie Cars,Pony Carts, Wet Boats, Kiddie Carousel.

Rides For All

Children must be 36 inches tall, (or have an adult accompany them) & Adults may ride the Helicopters, and The 1916 Big Carousel
Please note that due to the age of our historic 1916 Big Carrousel there is a 200 lb. weight limit on the horses, and 250 lbs. total in the Lover's Tub.

​All visitors may ride in the Chariot.
