Meet the Zielski Family:

John and Denise’s grandson Ryan has sensory issues and always feels calmed by a carousel ride. Denise shared,
The Museum is a local treasure. We have been members since Ryan was 6 yrs old. We live in Akron, NY and enjoy each visit.”

The Zielski’s drive over 35 minutes one-way to visit the museum once a week just to enjoy time together in such a disconnected world. Your contribution allows us to help your family and the Zielski family feel connected during these isolating times.

According to Denise, “Ryan has sensory integration processing disorder and is on the spectrum. The music, and the horse's up and down motion, helps him process better. The kindness and acceptance the staff provides is so appreciated.” We love seeing our friends with sensory issues enjoy a carousel ride. The Carrousel Museum is proud to be a safe environment for all visitors including those who are neurodivergent and neurotypical alike.

Your donation allows us to continue striving to be an inclusive environment for all families throughout Western New York.

Ryan has even made friends with our volunteers! His favorite volunteer is our ride operator, Mr. Alex. The two have formed such a strong bond and the Zielski family “looks forward to seeing him as much as we can. He is like a part of our family." We know our staff and volunteers will always go the extra mile to make your visit special. It has been a difficult year and we are so glad we can bring a moment of joy to your lives.

Thank you for your visits, kind words, and continued support.
