When are you open?
The museum is open April through December, Wednesday to Sunday. For our exact opening date, hours, and visiting information please check our Hours, Admission, & Directions page. Can I bring in outside food/drink? Alcohol is not permitted at the museum. Personal lunches, snacks, and beverages are permitted. Picnic tables are available outside, weather permitting. Do you do birthday parties? Yes, we do! You can visit our rentals page for more information and even request a booking here. How many rides do you have? We have a total of 6 rides on the premise. Four rides for children between 34 and 52 inches tall; The Wet Boats*, Kiddie Auto Car*, Pony Carts*, and Kiddie Carrousel, and 2 rides for all ages (Under 34 inches tall accompanied by a guardian); our Number One Special "The Big" Carrousel and the Helicopter ride*. Rides indicated with a "*" are located in our Kiddieland Testing Park Exhibit. Kiddieland is open Memorial Weekend through October. For our exact opening date, hours, and visiting information please check our Hours, Admission, & Directions page. How old do you have to be ride the rides in the Kiddieland Testing Park Exhibit? We base our children rides on height. Children between 34 and 52 inches tall are able to ride the Kiddie Cars, Pony Carts, Wet Boats, Kiddie Carousel. Can I just ride the rides in the Kiddieland Testing Park Exhibit without visiting the museum? No. Our Kiddieland Testing Park is an interactive exhibit of the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, not a standalone attraction. General Admission to the museum is required. Please note: active memberships include general admission. Do you have a National Parks stamp? Yes. HCFM is proud to be a part of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor. Please ask in the giftshop to receive your stamp. |
