FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (North Tonawanda, NY, 17th August 2021) – The Carousel Society of the Niagara Frontier, Inc. – a non-profit, board-led, institution which operates the Herschell Carousel Factory Museum at North Tonawanda, Niagara County, New York – wishes to announce the hiring of Ian K. Seppala as Executive Director. Ian K. Seppala has served as the museum's Education Director since October 2018. He has also served as the Interim Director since November 2020. Ian is a graduate of both SUNY Brockport (B.S. History), and Morgan State University (M.A. Museum Studies).His museum experience also includes The Rochester Museum & Science Center, The Historic Ships in Baltimore and The James E. Lewis Museum of Art. Mr. Seppala has released the following statement regarding his hiring: "It is with great honor that I accept the position of Executive Director of the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. I would like to thank the Board of Trustees for their support and belief in me. I would also like to thank the museum staff (previous and present), volunteers and community for their support. The museum is an important place in the community, and I look forward to steering the organization into the future."

Board of Trustee s Officers for the next year will be President – Raphaelle Proefrock of North Tonawanda, Vice President – Gregory Toutoundjian of Amherst, NY, Treasurer – Ward Bray of Amherst, NY, Vice Treasurer – Edward Janulionis of Buffalo, NY, and Secretary – Barbara Trabold of Amherst, NY. Since 1980 the CSNF has dedicated themselves to the historic preservation of various artifacts associated with the amusement and band organ industry of the 19th and 20th centuries.
