Kiddieland Testing Park Manager Job Description
The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is a historic museum located in North Tonawanda, NY. The Carrousel Museum is seeking a
responsible, personable adult to manage the Kiddieland Testing Park. This position requires operation of 4 historic rides. This is a seasonal position only, and will require weekends in September and October. Must be 18 years or older. Ability to work with children required, experience preferred.
Start Date: May 25, 2022
Reports to: Museum Director
Pay Rate: $14.00-$15.10 based on experience
Responsibilities Include:
1. Must be available Wednesday – Saturday from 9:30am – 4:30pm and Sunday 11:30
am – 4:30pm
2. Must be available to work on Memorial Day (11:30am – 3:30pm), Fourth of July (9:30am
– 12:30pm), and Labor Day (9:30am – 3:30pm)
3. Must be available for weekends only in September and possibly October, weather
permitting
4. Open and close the park promptly each day, including lifting the large overhead doors
on the rides
5. Train and supervise ride operators
6. Test each ride for operation, safety and cleanliness – record on log
7. Notify museum staff of repairs, as needed
8. Keep park clean – sweep, pick up trash, water plants
9. Operate rides safely
10. Be alert and attentive during operational hours
11. Be personable to museum visitors
