The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum following the release of new CDC suggestions and the easing of restrictions in New York, will be changing their COVID-19 policy effective Wednesday, May 26th 2021. These new policies will be in effect for the opening of the Kiddieland Testing Park Exhibit Saturday, May 29th 2021.
The following changes will be enacted on Wednesday, May 26th 2021:
The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum is still committed to the safety of its visitors, volunteers and staff. Therefore, the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum has made the decision to maintain our current indoor policy of requiring masks for staff and guests for the time being. Additionally, we will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our policy moving forward. We thank all for their understanding and continued support of the Museum in these trying times. Following the announcement of the CDC and New York State relaxing face covering mandates for those fully vaccinated, the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum has made the decision to maintain our current indoor policy of requiring masks for staff and guests for the time being. In anticipation of our Kiddieland Testing Exhibit opening May 29th, we will be releasing new outdoor policies in the coming week. Additionally, we will continue to monitor the situation and adjust our policy moving forward. We thank all for their understanding and continued support of the Museum in these trying times. The Carousel Society of the Niagara Frontier, Inc. – a non-profit, board-led, institution which operates the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum at North Tonawanda, Niagara County, New York – announces seven new members to its Board of Directors. The newly elected trustees bring an important variety of knowledge, skills, and experience to an already impressive team of founders, trustees, and officers.
New Trustees include: Becca Blumer of Cincinnati, OH, an art historian with experience in youth education and community outreach at Cincinnati Museum Center and Cincinnati Art Museum; Jeffrey Hartinger of Elma, NY, global leadership experience in marketing and logistics; Courtney Helinski of Buffalo, NY, Producer, and on-air fundraising strategist, Buffalo Toronto Public Media; also Marketing Committee member for Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY; John Malinowski of Buffalo, NY, Head of Production at Burchfield Penny Art Center; also 2 nd Vice-Chair Buffalo State College Child Care Center; Colin McBeath of Henderson, NV, decades of national and international hotel and hospitality management experience, former CEO Grand Canyon Resort Corporation; Greg Toutoundjian of Williamsville, NY, venture capital management specialist, Partner at Catenary Partners; and Evan A. Wright of Niagara Falls, NY, Director of Operations at Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center. A complete list of current Trustees can be found here. The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, operated by the Carousel Society of the Niagara Frontier, Inc. (CSNF), is a premier national historic site and community resource for family recreation and learning that fosters an appreciation for the unique heritage of the amusement and related industries in the Niagara Region and elsewhere. Through educational, cultural, and recreational programming visitors experience the places, people, stories, and artifacts associated with the past production of carousels, band organs and other amusement devices. Since 1980 the CSNF has dedicated themselves to the historic preservation of various artifacts associated with the amusement and band organ industry of the 19th and 20th centuries. |
