This month's Activity
This month's activity is making a water filter! This is a fun way to learn how our earth naturally filters water. In nature, water is filtered through layers of soil, sand, rock, and other natural materials like leaves.
For this activity I used things around my house to build my filter. I used cotton balls, soil, and decorative pebbles in my filter. To make polluted water I used rice, chips, and pieces of paper. I often see food and paper on the ground and I wanted to see if these materials would get filtered out of the water.
Thank you, Ms. Barb
for reading Never Tease a Weasel! It was a really good book to wrap up our celebration of Children's Book Week!
Today's Activity is Chromatography Butterflies!
I had a LOT of fun making my chromatography butterflies! They are now taped to my office window to brighten up my days. You can find the instructions below or you can download and print out the instructions here. Have Fun!
I hope you were able to join us for Elmer's Special Day by David McKee. This is such a fun book to read and look at! It was very nice of Elmer to invite the other animals to join the Elephant Parade. It helped all of the animals become friends with each other! Elmer showed us that a great way to make new friends is to ask others to play with you.
