Hi Friends!Did you like We are Water Protectors by Carole Lindstrom with pictures by Michaela Goade? The pictures are absolutely stunning! This month's ActivityThis month's activity is making a water filter! This is a fun way to learn how our earth naturally filters water. In nature, water is filtered through layers of soil, sand, rock, and other natural materials like leaves.
For this activity I used things around my house to build my filter. I used cotton balls, soil, and decorative pebbles in my filter. To make polluted water I used rice, chips, and pieces of paper. I often see food and paper on the ground and I wanted to see if these materials would get filtered out of the water. Comments are closed.
